W: Two World - Episode 14 and 15 Summary

So Yeon Joo is back in the real world while having a gun shot. Kang Chul runs to the hospital in tears, and finds Yeon-joo surrounded by doctors trying to resuscitate her. They shock her twice and manage to get a heartbeat, but she’s lying so still.

The doctor tells Chul that they have done their best to save Yeon Joo's life. They even did the CPR for 30 minutes, but Yeon Joo is still unconscious.

Dad is come back to his original self and after reading the episodes of W, Dad and Su Bong rush to the hospital and they arrive at the emergency room, where the nurse tells them that Yeon Joo is brain-dead. Dad collapses to the floor and demands to know where she is, and the nurse looks troubled. The nurses said that both Yeon Joo and her husband disappeared without a trace after the police officer come by to ask questions about the shooting.

It turns out that Chul moved Yeon Joo to the manhwa world because he cannot explain about the shooting and the doctor in the real world said there is no hope. He then said  that “If she dies here, I can’t reverse it.” Chul explains that he took her to the hospital there, but it was the same diagnosis, and so after a few days he moved her to the hotel because he couldn’t explain away the gunshot wound. He says that they spent a week like that in the hotel, and Yeon Joo opened her eyes, just once, for a brief moment. Dad was so surprised and asks what happened now to her and Chul’s lip begins to tremble and his eyes fill with tears. “She died.”

Dad is fainted and was brought to the hospital. After he was awake, he then decided to kill himself because he is the one who killed Yeon Joo. It turns out that the memory of the killer stays inside him and it's torturing for him now.

Chul came to save him by telling him that Dad is able to save Yeon Joo from dying by drawing her to come back to be alive and that's why he took her to the manhwa world. But Dad said he cannot do that since the tablet is destroyed, but he them remembers the time when he was commanded by the killer to draw a copy of the tablet and save it in the manhwa world. He then remembers that the killer put it inside the car trunk.

Chul went back to the manhwa world to find the trunk after knowing from the W manhwa that Han Cheol Ho found about the tablet and took it with him. He then appeared in Han Cheol Ho's office and find a tablet on the table which turns out to be a fake one and it's actually a trap for him. Han Cheol Ho then tied Chul inside a room and interrogate him regarding the tablet as he found out that the tablet can make something to come out as a real object when he pressed enter and it vanished when the pressed delete.

Han Cheol Ho said he finally gets why Chul and killer were fighting to the death, but he wanted the real answers, like what the hell this tablet is, whom it belongs to, and how Chul appears in his office whenever he wants. Chul keeps silent and Han Cheol Ho hit him in the head. Chul spits out the word “hospital” before Assemblyman Han is about to leave, and asks to be taken to the hospital.

Kang Chul told him the truth—that his wife died, and he needed the tablet to save her. He said that she could be drawn back to life if he brought the tablet to its owner in the hospital.

Han Cheol Ho didn’t believe him at first but then Chul told him the exact hospital and room so that he can confirm it. Han Cheol Ho then left the room and rushed to the hospital. When he found the floor and the room, he found it strange that there is no one named Oh Seong Mo and suddenly when he was about to leave, he was transferred to the real world.

It's Chul who summoned him to the real world. Su Bong then attacked him for the tablet and Dad hit him in the head before Han Cheol Ho went back to the manhwa world.

Now, Dad has the tablet and he draws Yeon Joo who happens to come back alive. In the manhwa world, Yeon Joo opened her eyes and she saw 'to be continued' and was sent back to the real world. She then called Su Bong from the hotel and asked about what happened. Su Bong said that Chul and Dad might be going to where she is now.

She waited for Chul and Dad but no one came. Suddenly she was transferred back to the manhwa world. She saw the world 'final episode' and it turns out that a year has passed there.

Yeon Joo who happened to be at the hotel met with So Hee who told her about Chul got arrested because he fabricates the death documents, kills Han Sung Hoon and he is now a murderer. Last year, he was found in front of the hospital with bloody conditions (from Han Cheol Ho's torture).

She then told Yeon Joo that tomorrow is the trial for Chul. So Hee then wishes Yeon Joo that she hoped everything will turn out well as she was about going to the airport for her flight to US. She has quit her job last year.

The next day, Yeon Joo came to the court and finally she met with Chul. Chul was then sentenced to death penalty. Before he went back to the jail, he asked for a moment to talk to Yeon Joo.

He asked Yeon Joo why it took so long for her to come back. Yeon Joo explains that right from the moment she woke up, it's been a year already in the manhwa world.

Chul then explained that he tried many times to summon himself back to the real world but he could not go back. He then told her that it's the final episode of W already.

Yeon Joo then now understood that when Chul wanted to quit being the main character of W, then the manhwa came to the final episode. She understood that she couldn't go back to the real world before the episode ended now.

Suddenly, on her way back, Yeon Joo heard the news of Chul escaped from the jail and told Do Yoon to tell Chul where she was. Do Yoon agreed and confirmed with her about the different world. Chul then came to Yeon Joo. Yeon Joo asked how he managed to come out from the cell and asked if Dad drew him the key and gun, and Chul confirmed that it was Dad. He drew Chul the car and these clothes too, and Yeon Joo is surprised to learn that Dad’s been trapped inside the manhwa world for the past year as well.

When Kang Chul first escaped from the courthouse, he’d been driving away when a post-it appeared on the dashboard with an address on it. He went there to find an exact replica of Dad’s workshop here in the manhwa world. Dad was being tied in the chair as he explains that he was dragged out to the manhwa world last year and was locked up in the mental hospital because he's been acting weird. A part of him is Oh Sung Mo, but another part of him is Han Sung Hoon. He spent a year like that, going stark raving mad, alternating between Dad and killer like he had multiple personalities.

Chul warns her that he’s in bad shape, and explains that Dad escaped from the mental hospital this morning to go find the tablet. It turns out that Dad had felt nervous about the tablet being a copy, and had drawn another duplicate and hidden it in the manhwa world. It took Dad a whole year to get here, Chul says, but he finally got it together and found the tablet where he’d hidden it, and drew the key and gun for Chul to escape.

Chul and Yeon Joo arrive at Dad’s workshop, which exists as an empty house in manhwa world after Dad used it as the model for a hideout many times before. He drew the same house as the one he lives in in the real world. Yeon Joo arrived and saw him was tied and lied down on the bed. Dad was happy to see Yeon Joo is alive.

While Yeon Joo prepared the food for them to eat, Chul and Dad were inside and Dad said that ultimately he and Kang Chul couldn’t be together in the end: “If you have a happy ending, I get a sad ending. If I’m happy, you’re sad.” He lifts his hand and shows Chul how perfectly fine it looks now, and he says there’s a reason for that: “I killed a person. This morning.”

It turns out that the Dad killed the nurse in the mental hospital so that he was able to escape.

After the murder, his flickering hand had solidified. Dad explained that there was no going back for him, because now that he’s here, he disappears when he stops doing bad things. He said that even if he were to go back, he can’t live when he’s killed so many people, as the killer, and now even as himself. He couldn’t bear the thought of looking Yeon Joo in the eye, and going on with his life.

Dad said his life already ended a year ago, and he reached his hand out for Chul to hold. Dad begged him with tears in his eyes for Chul to help him die in the manhwa world before the happy ending. “Bury me in the manhwa,” he pleaded. Chul refused to do any such thing.

Han Cheol Ho heads down to his torture lair, where a man sits tied to a chair, covered in blood. Wait, what? He yanks the hostage’s head up, and it’s Do Yoon. He then called Chul and asked him to meet him in an hour and he should so that he can finally get all his questions answered and trade the tablet for Do Yoon.

Yeon Joo decides to draw a few things into the tablet, and Dad stirs awake. She explains that she’s going back and drawing in a CCTV camera in  Han Cheol Ho’s torture lair, so that they can leak a video of him torturing Kang Chul and get him arrested. She figures that it’ll help speed things along towards a happy ending, and says that she wants to get out of here as soon as humanly possible: “This place is hell, Dad.” She busily redraws the scene, not noticing when Dad’s expression hardens and he suddenly sits up in bed.

Things go from bad to worse when Chul spots a police officer canvassing the area with wanted posters of Dad, warning civilians to be on the lookout for the crazy murderer on the loose. In the room, Dad is strangling Yeon Joo and ranting like a psycho that he shot her already and doesn’t know why she’s not dead. Chul hurriedly pries Dad off of her and pins him to the ground.

Dad has returned to his own persona by the time they tie him back up in bed, and Yeon Joo cries to see him this broken. Dad whimpers and asks if he’s done something, but Yeon-joo lies and says that nothing happened. He can see the red marks all over her neck though, and Dad cries to Chul, “I told you, I’m a monster. Do what I asked, please!”

Yeon Joo is alarmed to see Dad’s hand threaten to vanish, and then moments later, she sees Chul’s hand do the same. She asks why it’s happening again when he said his hand was fine while he was in prison, and Chul says it’s because he escaped and left his friend to die. He tells her about Han Cheol Ho kidnapped Do Yoon, and the forty minutes he has left to go trade the tablet for Do Yoon’s life. He hesitates to tell her the next part, and says that her father killed someone, and it’s only a matter of time before the cops find them here.

Yeon Joo suggests reporting Assemblyman Han with the CCTV footage and saving Do Yoon that way, but Chul stops her and says that if they achieve a happy ending now, her father will disappear. He says that right now, there’s no way for both Dad and Chul to remain by her side when this is all over, because one or the other will either die or disappear forever.

Do Yoon finally tells Assemblyman Han about the two worlds, which is the first theory he’s heard that aligns with what happened to him in the hospital. Yeon Joo hurriedly finishes erasing all the windows on the tablet and Chul sits her down, saying they won’t have much time since the cops will find a way in eventually, and Do Yoon only has thirty minutes left to live. He holds her hand and says it’s time to decide what kind of ending they’ll get.

She asks how, and then with his flickering hand, he slides the wedding band off of her finger. He takes his ring off too, and puts it down on the table next to hers. She looks up at him and asks in a shaky voice why he’s doing this. Chul says softly that it’s too cruel to have a father disappear unless he kills his own daughter—he can’t have that. Chul says he’ll erase her from his family registry, and now she’s free, regardless of the ending. Then he tells her that it’s up to her to decide how it all ends, and he’ll follow her decision. They look across the table, gazing into each other’s eyes…

Personal Thought:

As I have said before, this drama should have just ended on episode 13 already, making a full happy ending. But when they extend this story this much, they are already dragging this show so much till I have nothing to say now.

Why now Han Cheol Ho is curious about the tablet and he's able to come to the real world and now it feels like that tablet is able to do anything with human's life. Woah, so our God is the tablet, you mean? That's bullshit. I thought that it's Chul who has control over the story, but why is it now they told us about the significance of the tablet? There are many inconsistencies with how the manhwa world works and I am afraid that the viewer's mind might run wild. This story seems to make a joke with us with such unrealistic storyline.

Hopefully they end the story with a wise enough storyline.
