W: Two Worlds Episode 7, 8 and 9 Summary

To start, episode 7 tells a story where Oh Yeon Joo is actually the one who creates Kang Chul. She then tries to draw Kang Chul face and helps him from dying and after two months practicing, she finally be able to come back to Kang Chul's world.

There, Chul gives her an identity as Chul's wife with a fake marriage. It's a fake marriage actually, since Chul indeed loves Yeon Joo. Although the close people around Chul knows that that's the only reason he can free Yeon Joo from the law, but public perceives it as a true marriage.

And so, Yeon Joo and Chul has some lovey dovey moment till the real killer calls Chul again, telling that he is alive and Chul should not die, instead he has to continue finding the truth of who he is. The killer also states that he is the one who kills Chul's family.

Anyway, this killer doesn't have a face so I will call him a "No Face Man" from now on. This guy also states the fact that Chul is now having a new family member in which he can shoot a bullet on her head too. As he threatens Chul, he states that it'll end if either one of them is done. Until that, there is no ending. It seems like this manga is taking a toll in everything now.

In Episode 8, Chul is starting to worry about the real killer existence, although he knows from Oh Sung Mo that it's only a set up, and there is no identity of the killer since Oh Sung Mo also haven't thought about it. However, with this kind of thing keep happening, he then writes a report, stating that the killer is actually exists.

As he imagines Yeon Joo being shot, he tells Yeon Joo that she should go back to her world because it's dangerous to be in his world. Yeon Joo states the fact that in Chul's world, she in invincible and therefore, she cannot die there.

Yet, the fact is not like that. By getting married to a main character in the manga, Yeon Joo is now a main character, which that means she can be killed to in the manga. Learning from that fact, Chul is shocked and thus, Yeon Joo disappears to her world.

As Yeon Joo becomes the female main character, So Hee then starts to disappear. The theory from Chul's perspective is because the reason for its existence in the story line is now not existed anymore thus their existence is also not needed anymore.

In Yeon Joo's world, the real culprit is there and he is just about to take Yeon Joo's life. Actually he has killed 3 people in the real world. Based on Chul's theory too, when the manga stops and Chul travels to the real world, the culprit follows him to the real world and able to know that he is actually from the manga too in which the 'No Face Man' doesn't even have an identity to prove himself. Thus, he is very angry knowing that fact and learning that Chul get suicide near the Han Kang river. And so, because of that, the real culprit prevents Chul from dying and so the story goes on, instead of ends.

Yeon Joo, knowing that she is someone who is being chased now, runs for her life with Su Bong. Su Bong drives the car to anywhere as long as it is far from home. On their way, the 'No Face Man' appears in front of the car and starts to point a gun towards Yeon Joo.

When he shoots, the bullet goes through the seat and Yeon Joo is now transferred back to Chul's world. Exactly in the car where Chul is driving to So Hee's house. Yeon Joo, being shocked, tells Chul about the killer goes to find her in the real world and tries to kill her. When the bullet touches her, she then transferred back to Chul's world.

Yeon Joo then learns the fact that So Hee starts to disappear because of her existence in the manga world. To prevent that, Chul says to So Hee that the marriage between him and Yeon Joo is actually a fake marriage and So Hee is so important in Chul's life and there is no reasons So Hee is not needed anymore. This allows So Hee to remains exist in Chul's world.

Yeon Joo, being frustrated, cries in the car, stating this is not a sequel she expects to have and it's all a mess now. Meanwhile, Chul writes in his phone something for Oh Sung Mo. When both of them gets back to Chul's hotel, Chul has decided that the story must go back to square one again, where Yeon Joo and Chul never meet before. Even before Yeon Joo saves Chul from dying in the rooftop.

That is when Chul suspects about her existence and that is why Yeon Joo is getting sucked into the manga. Chul states that he doesn't want to see Yeon Joe dies in front of his eyes and to prevent that, this is the only way. So, Chul tolds Yeon Joo, once she goes back to her world, she should draw that everything happened in the last two months is all dreams. Yeon Joo promises him and yes, the story goes back to square one again. In Chul's last moment to be apart with Yeon Joo, Chul gives something to Yeon Joo for her to give her father.

The story goes to Episode 9, where in Yeon Joo's world, it concludes that the real culprit now is back to Chul's world as there are only 3 people who were found death. Su Bong and Yeon Joo's Mom are alright. However, right before everything turns back, the 'No Face Man' comes to Oh Sung Mo who is on the way to Auckland. He then confronts him, that Oh Sung Mo should give him an identity instead of running away and end the story like that. Sensing that something is not right, he then comes back to Seoul and finds out about 4 new episode in just an overnight. He then comes to find Yeon Joo who is sick in bed.

Yeon Joo in her world seems to hallucinate (I dunno what to explain about this) because she sometimes can go to Chul's world and comes back again. It seems like Chul has been dreaming about her and that is why she is able to see Chul from a far sometimes.

However, Chul forgets about everything and Yeon Joo can only see him with her sad face. She cries so hard, knowing how futile it is that no one remembers her in the manga world, yet no one also knows what she's been going through for the past two months.

She even cut some of the scene in the manga because of her longing towards Chul. She cries again while looking at the cover of W, asking how Chul's been doing in his world, whether he is happy because she is not.

Oh Sung Mo, who reads the messages from Chul finally decides to end the manga with a happy ending. Chul says that Oh Sung Mo should end the drama with a happy ending because it concerns not only Chul anymore, but his own daughter is now in danger if he doesn't end the drama right away. Thus, Oh Sung Mo plans to have the 'No Face Man' have an identity. He then plans to have the face of the 'No Face Man' with his face because by doing that, Chul will believe that the real culprit is him, as Chul has seen him before on the rooftop. And thus, it is to prevent Chul from suspecting anyone else and prevent the curse to happen again.

With the culprit being caught, Oh Sung Mo plans to have the real killer to confess his wrong doings. He then plans to kill the real killer with another villain to kill him. Another villain is the prosecutor who is always an enemy of Chul. As this villain will also get caught, the story ends. And the end of the story will be a hint that Chul and So Hee will be together.

However, as Oh Sung Mo tries to draw everything, his face is now being taken by the real culprit and he is left with no face. Su Bong who saw that seems to have fainted.

Now Yeon Joo is transferred back to Chul's world. Chul, on the other hand forgets about her existence asks her to help with the patient as his broadcasting station is in a mess due to the shooting. Yeon Joo wonders what happened because she is now transferred back to Chul's world.

Personal Thoughts:

Okay, I need more time to think about what's actually happen because it's such a mess.
The story seems to play with the audience more and more. It's like a going back and forth with everything. Again, from real world, to another world, comes back again and now inside the manga world again. It's a super joke. What are you going to tell us as the audience?

The part way scene is so hurtful yet there is nothing to be done since it is the only way to have the story back to its original run. However, I really want to slap Yeon Joo for being a cry baby. She should have stops with the longing already. I understand that she is broken heart but what it is to be done when they are both from different world? It's right from the start that they cannot be together. Shouldn't she come to face the truth? It seems to me that she is some kind of teenager who happens to be a fan of one character in the manga and wishes the character real exists, which sounds doesn't make sense again to me.

In my opinion, the strong character in this drama is only 3 people so far, Oh Yeon Joo, Kang Chul and Oh Sung Mo. The rest is just a supplementary. I don't really understand about the existence of the curse and why Yeon Joo be able to travel here and there in the manga, even though the story already back to square one. Till episode 9 now, halfway through, the story seems to have no sense anymore. Now, they are back in the manga world and what's bound to happen again? Let the fate choose the track instead?

I am appreciating Han Hyo Joo for potraying a cheerful Oh Yeon Joo, but she is not a typical woman character I would love all the way because she is so typical. A typically weak woman who is a hopeless romantic. Yet, Lee Jong Suk is such a cool and charismatic and sexy character. But somehow I don't fall for him. Too bad.

Unfortunately, it seems like W doesn't give me such feeling like Uncontrollably Fond, because Uncontrollably Fond seems like more solid with the story line. W is so futile, yet unpredictable and I just don't like with this kind of story line sometimes. I like how Secret Garden, a fantasy romantic comedy puts the story together but how come I just don't feel that kind of feeling towards this? W is sure a hot topic to discuss, being given on how the last episode goes. However, with much more illogical plot like this, it makes me even harder to understand the true logic. At least, for Secret Garden, I know there is a magic spell given by Gil Ra Im's Dad to give happiness to his daughter, but here, until halfway through, the reason behind this is still unexplained.

On the other hand, Each characters of Uncontrollably Fond have a good and bad side, and also plays an important role with the story line. Yet, as I mentioned before, W only has three strong character who plays an important role. Beside, I tend to feel more about Suzy's character rather than Han Hyo Joo's. In any case, both stories has different charms and it happens that Uncontrollably Fond is my cup of taste.

Cheers ~
