Uncontrollably Fond - Episode 10 Summary

I cried so hard towards the end of this episode and I, myself, don't know the exact reasons for me crying. It's just I feel so sad watching my main OTP have to go through much hardship and I am sad enough to see how hard JY has to struggle against his illness. OMG, this melodrama is sure one of the dramas you have to watch if you want a good cry!

So JY, as a boyfriend material, he looks for Eul whom he heard she comes to the K-Pop Festival and he sees her with Choi Hyun Joon, his biological Dad and Haru. HJ gives Eul KRW 100,000 to compensate the loss she get because of the kitten without apologizing first and JY grabs the money and throws right in front of him, saying that instead of giving money first, he should admit the mistakes and apologize first.

HJ seems so angry that he states the fact how manneless JY is, for him to interrupt them and asks whether JY's parent taught him to have that kind of attitude. HJ then mentions to JY how disappointed he is for keeping the law book for him, yet JY has changed so much and he can't believe what kind of attitude which makes him as a famous top stars when he doesn't even have manners. HJ then leaves with Haru.

JY tells Eul not to pick up the money and just let it be but Eul takes the money and tells JY to just mind his own business. Because of that, JY leaves her to attend the ceremony awards.

JY comes back and finds out that his Mom will not come to the ceremony. With much tension, JY calls her with GY's phone and asks what he did wrong that he deserves that kind of attitude from his own Mom? He asks her too whether being success to be an artist is a sin? JY also states how she hated her for not being a prosecutor instead a Hallyu Star, how many times JY has told her that he believes a prosecutors have to tell things honestly, reveal only the truth and protect the weak one.

He again tells her, if a person like him becomes a prosecutor, the weak and poor people like his Mom won't be able to live in this world and justify himself to have no qualification to be a prosecutor.  His mom is stunned by that confession of him and left speechless. OMG, this is heartbreaking, JY T___T

No Eul heads straight to her car, unable to even get her head on straight to work. She doesn’t even pick up the phone when Joon Young calls her. At the same time, Hyun Joon sends his wife and Haru home as Eun Soo really isn’t feeling well. (I bet the stress of potentially seeing Joon Young face to face is stressful for her.) He has to stay behind to save some face with his colleagues. He totally misses seeing Young Ok walking right past in her nice outfit, leaving the festival after being rejected by her son.

Once Haru and Eun Soo leave in their car, Hyun Joon picks up a call from another assemblyman outside. Someone honks behind No Eul, and she sees an opportunity in front of her: Hyun Joon near the road, not paying attention to his surroundings. She flashes back to when her father proudly treated her to Chinese food for rising up to 59th place in class when she used to be 138th, and when No Jik outed her as white-outing the “1” from “159.” She then flashes back to the night her father was killed, and how the police said that Hyun Joon’s involvement changed the entire testimony and direction of the case.

Honestly, it was the longest flashback ever and all I could think about was the car behind her, waiting to pass.

No Eul starts driving, and slowly aims towards Hyun Joon. Joon Young sees what she’s doing as he exits the hall and pushes Hyun Joon out of the way. No Eul swerves and slams into a pillar, narrowly avoiding Joon Young. The car crashes with a terrible crunch, and she’s knocked out, bleeding in the head. (She got herself into a car accident again!)

Joon Young gets up, spraining his shoulder, but doesn’t bother to wait to hear Hyun Joon thanking him for saving his life. (Not like that prideful prosecutor would anyways…)

He carries No Eul to the hospital and screams for help, but all the nurses and doctors are rendered useless at the sight of a world-famous star. What kind of hospital is this?!

Hyun Joon wonders why No Eul would have gunned for him, as he really doesn’t remember her, but he doesn’t want to press charges. He wants it written off as just a driving misdemeanor. Eun Soo hears though, and she’s not too grateful that Joon Young saved her husband’s life. It doesn’t help that Haru just keeps singing Joon Young’s songs because she’s heartbroken over how her father scolded Joon Young. Ugh I want to kill off this character…

Ji Tae also hears of the accident and he heads to the hospital to see Joon Young, all dressed up. He introduces himself as Hyun Joon’s son and a section chief of KJ Group, and that because of his true identity he gave up on No Eul. Joon Young replies: “So what?”

He doesn’t care who Ji Tae is, or why his family should make him give up on No Eul. Joon Young heads out to visit No Eul’s room, where she’s sedated, and apologizes to her for leaving her alone after that fight with Hyun Joon and Haru.

A week passes, and No Eul’s healed better. She hasn’t told No Jik though, who thinks that she’s still working in the editing room. No Jik meets with Haru to get his kitten back, but she shamefully admits to losing it. UGH THIS WOMAN. He grabs her while she’s on the swings and she’s nearly thrown off by how close they are to kissing – and how cute he is. That’s when No Jik lets go of the swing and she falls to the ground. Yeah! Don’t like her! This irresponsible silly girl!

It turns out Joon Young wants him and No Eul to go on a month-long trip together where they can just ignore the rest of the world and hide together. And surprisingly, No Eul is actually quite receptive to the idea. She washes off the hospital grime while Joon Young packs the bags, buying her underwear, pajamas, and matching jackets for them while disguised under an oversized scar. When he arrives at her room, he’s relieved to see that she hasn’t run away, but was in the bathroom applying some makeup.

No Eul wishes that they could hide away for a year, and Joon Young is game even though he knows he won’t be alive that long. This time she asks for the kiss, and he gives her one so deeply.

They head to the parking lot where Joon Young goes to retrieve the car.

But that’s when his headache attacks and he falls, crippled momentarily and losing his vision.

At the same time, a couple of detectives come to arrest No Eul for attempted murder of Hyun Joon. It was totally because of Eun Soo – and when Ji Tae hears of it he accuses his mother of putting her in jail out of revenge. Haven’t they caused enough grief upon her family?

His mother apparently also sued her for defamation when No Eul dug up evidence of KJ Group’s slush fund (which was true), thus completely ruining her finances. Thankfully Hyun Joon overhears this argument between Ji Tae and Eun Soo when he returns home, and that’s when he finally remembers who No Eul is exactly. It remains to be seen what he’s going to do about it, but I have a funny feeling he won’t be such a good dad for long…

Joon Young meanwhile couldn’t stop No Eul from getting arrested because of his crippling disease. But he manages to get home and call up his lawyer to try and get No Eul out. The lawyer’s hands are tied though as CEO Namgoong won’t let him get involved in No Eul’s affairs anymore. On top of that, Joon Young is under lockdown in his room, not allowed to leave or see No Eul at all.

Jung Eun makes a dinner for her father, who praises her cooking skills and wishes that he wasn’t marrying her off to someone as “second-rate” as Ji Tae. She asks if her father knows what happened to the man she hit all those years ago, and Chairman Yoon says he died. “That’s a relief,” Jung Eun replies. “I heard he was in a coma. If he was in a coma all these years it would have been very hard on the family.” Such cold-hearted compassion. And she moves on to commenting about the good wine as if they were just talking about the weather.

As No Eul spends the night in a cold cell, giving her clothes to another older woman suffering beside her, she sees her father’s vision before her. He scolds her for not taking care of herself.

And guilt washes over her as she confesses to accepting Choi Hyun Joon’s money and settling out of court so that she could have the surgery to live and be with No Jik. She admits to trying to forget her father and moving on, feeling that she accepted blood money, but her ghostly father just hugs her and tries to comfort her.

Meanwhile, No Jik pleads outside of Joon Young’s door for his help. He can only think of Joon Young as someone rich and powerful enough to save his sister.

Unfortunately Joon Young can’t answer the door from his room, and his headache keeps coming and going. It gets to the point where Joon Young calls up his mother – and Jung Sik picks up. Good thing it was Jung Sik, because only his uncle will hear him out.

Jung Sik’s voice grows increasingly worried for Joon Young’s condition, which means it’s serious enough to spur Young Ok into action.

Then both of them head over to his house immediately and Young Ok caresses her son’s clammy cheek. It’s hard to describe just how relieved he seems to see his mother finally at his side. She wants to take him to the hospital immediately, but he wants to go to No Eul first. He has to see her.


Personal Thoughts:

I cried so much on this episode, thinking why it is so hard for both JY and Eul's life and I still couldn't believe the character growth on this episode is huge. We now see hateful Ji Tae's mother and the reason why Ji Tae hide his identity and helps Eul to fight with her life. My heart sank when Ji Tae said until when both of his parents going to screw up Eul's life? The good thing is that, Hyun Joon happens to hear the conversation.

I also think that both Suzy and Kim Woo Bin's acting on this episode is far way awesome. They both make me cry, for Eul's longing to her father, her conversation with her father about accepting the money to settle down because she is firmed enough to forget about what happened to her Dad, yet why it turns out to be this hard. Meanwhile Woo Bin as Shin Joon Young makes me feel sad for his illness and sickness and his acting is daebak. He is sure a true actor:D

Kim Woo Bin Expresses Concern for Disappointing Fans

On August 1, Kim Woo Bin posted a message on his fan cafe under the name Shin Joon Young, his character in “Uncontrollably Fond.”

Kim Woo Bin said, “I apologize for coming to you so late. In this precious time, when everyone is seeing me as Shin Joon Young, I wanted to leave a message under the title ‘This is Shin Joon Young,’ but leaving one now, as the drama passes the halfway mark, I’m embarrassed.”

The actor then expressed concern at possibly having disappointed fans: “Everyone must have waited a long time for a new drama, and looked forward [to ‘Uncontrollably Fond’] all the more for the wait, but I’m worried that I wasn’t able to meet expectations. On one hand I’m sorry about not being able to show a bright and cheerful character.”

Looking back on the role, Kim Woo Bin said, “I learned a lot of different emotions through the character Shin Joon Young, and it was a valuable time during which I was able to reflect on a lot of things.”

He said, “I wanted to gift everyone with those precious emotions and thoughts that I had, and with warmth. I dare to call it a ‘present,’ but I hope that when you are watching the final episode, you will have felt at least a little of what I intended.”

Closing, Kim Woo Bin thanked fans for always loving him despite his shortcomings, and encouraged everyone not to be oppressed by the heavy heat.

OMG my dear Kim Woo Bin, you've done great baby! I am sure your fans know about how hard you work for Uncontrollably Fond and how awesome you are for potraying Shin Joon Young who shows so many emotions. You will never believe me, but I would tell you my secret that I cried when I watch episode 8 of Uncontrollably Fond. Do you want to know in which scene? It's on the scene when you confessed to Jik that you really like Eul and now you are barely living. I cried hard on that scene, my baby! You are amazing to bring such emotions and I didn't expect you to be that good in making my heart feels so heavy and burdensome. 

I am not you fan at first Kim Woo Bin, you are just somebody that I pay attention to since A Gentleman's Dignity because somehow I am sure that your name one day will get big! Uncontrollably Fond is one of your greatest work and I am sure that everyone will think like me. Because you tend to have a bad boy image and while you work for Uncontrollably Fond, you extend your charisma and try on different character which I think you did a good job since you make me cry for the melodrama! Shin Joon Young does have a lot of emotional scene and I am sure that the present from your will always be cherished in my mind, memory and heart <3

Uncontrollably Fond - Episode 5 Summary

Episode 5 starts with the confession of JY to Eul, asking her whether she wants to date him only for three months passionately. Eul is left with a tense silence since she tries to read what's going on his head before he asked that kind of question.

JY keeps saying that he is being serious and it is not a joke, but with his wide grin, it's really hard to tell whether he is being genuine (Even if it's me, I would also feel he makes a joke with the filming). But he says he is serious, he is dying and what else he can't do? OMG this feels so heavy, if Eul reminds back, she will cry so much I bet.

Rather than letting him toy with her, No Eul breaks into a wide smile and says of course she’d like to be his girlfriend. Who wouldn’t!? She can announce this everywhere on social media, right? But Joon Young’s smile fades – he knows that she’s just teasing.

After the shoot, Eul wallows in misery in her favorite restaurant. Ji Tae comes to ask what has happened to her and Eul tells him that she's been fired from the documentary.

She said JY made a joke to her and she takes it seriously, then she said it is actually not like that, more likely JY is serious about it and Eul makes a joke to him. Then she concludes once again that both of them are serious about it which makes Eul to be so miserable, being fired and changed to another PD for the documentary. Ji Tae says it's better to get fired from that documentary and he will help Eul to find a job. Eul says back to him, how could an unemployed can help her to find a job? 

She then imagines if Ji Tae has got a job one day, she will marry him because Ji Tae won't starve Eul and Jik. Eul tries to be charming and asks Ji Tae whether she can get a job as his wife. Ji Tae is taken aback, not because he opposes to it but he doesn't know how to react after hearing his dreams to come true. He doesn't even says any answer to Eul. Meanwhile, Eul expects him to say that it's too good to be true to have her as a wife and being silent like that means that he is so surprised. However, Eul then concludes that she has been rejected by Hyun Woo (Ji Tae's fake name). After Eul left, Ji Tae says that he doesn't mean to reject her. It's because he is not good enough for her and how could he dare to have her. OMG this must be related to his father's case. 

After hearing that the documentary team has fired Eul, JY tells GY to tell the president, if he wants to continue with the contract, he wants Eul to be the PD, otherwise, he won't ever shoot a second documentary. Then he leaves the house to find Eul. He calls Eul's phone number and it's Ji Tae who picks her call because Eul leaves the phone at the restaurant. Ji Tae who picks her call ask who he is and tells him that there is no name on her phone, just a picture of a dog and a bird (which is a nickname given by Eul for JY). He then senses it is JY who is speaking and tells him if it is about documentary, please don't call Eul anymore because she has been fired. JY then asks who he is to be involved in his documentary. He suspects he is the one who is named 'Husband' by Eul.

Eul then returns to pick her phone and sees Ji Tae who is talking with someone on her phone. She then takes the call but JY hangs up. Ji Tae then asks her whether he is her so-what-called 'Husband' and Eul says he is, because he keeps taking care of her and Jik and feels like he is like the husband. Ji Tae then says that one day Eul will meet with the right nice and good guy. Eul feels like being rejected and humiliated by him and says she will never see him again and asks him not to pretend to be nice when he is about to reject her. 

Eul then remembers JY called her and asks why he calls her and all of the her bad words for him just come out from her mouth. It's so funny to see her acts like she doesn't even care whether JY is a celebrity or not. Because of him, she gets fired. But then she wants to send a message to JY, saying she is sorry not to pick up his call and she is now reflecting back to her action for joking with him and asks him to tell the president to give her one more chance....then she deletes her message and saying why she should plead to him to give her a job. She can make a living even without him - that's what she thinks and she will do the documentary, get the double payment, become a permanent employee and that's all. 

She then spots JY's car and looks for him. JY asks why a married woman now lives with Na Ri instead of her husband and her kids. She then says what kind of crazy guy will marry someone like her, she has no husband, no kids and because of a psycho like him, she loses her jobs. The reason why she is with Na Ri is because she has no money, no home and no pride that's why she is homeless, jobless and husbandless. LOLS she's so funny. 

After hearing Eul's answer to his curiosity, JY smiles cheekily which makes him look so handsome OMG. Eul asks why he smiles like that and whether it sounds funny to him. She then leaves JY, saying she is crazy for trying to talk to him. A minute later, she receives a call from the documentary PD, saying that JY asks her to be the PD or else he won't do the documentary. She is very taken aback, looking back to JY who is sitting is his car. Meanwhile, JY leaves her. 

The following morning, we watch Joon Young through the many CCTV cameras in his house as he gets up (sleeping on the floor rather than the bed), washes up (abs!), feeds his dog, and then changes to head out for the day (looking nice with the shades). It’s a big day – the day of his concert! As for No Eul, she lovingly feeds No Jik a leafy wrap with meat. She coddles her baby brother, even though he’s perfectly old enough to take care of himself, and suggests dropping everything and following him around. And surprisingly, he agrees! Eul can’t believe her brother actually took her bait, but it’s because he has a good reason: if she continues working on Shin Joon Young’s documentary she will get eaten alive by his fan base. Case in point: Haru, or the girl that he’s nicknamed “Jerk of All Jerks” on his phone. She’s threatening to sue him if he tricked her, and Eul answers her text: “What are you going to do with information regarding PD Noh Eul? Do your parents know you’re going around doing this kind of thing?” Yeah! Tsk tsk Haru!

Instead of preparing for her college exams (which she’s redoing after failing already), Haru is busy preparing fan-made goods for JY’s upcoming concert. So yeah, she really isn’t doing much with her life. She’s pretty pissed with No Eul’s response too (though she’s attributing it to Jik); who knows what crazy thing she’ll do next.

Jik is serious though – he doesn’t want his sister near JY. He knows enough what crazy fan girls could do, and doesn’t want her sister falling for JY again while working on the documentary. He knows his sister too well. Jik reminds her that they live in different worlds now, and she’ll definitely get hurt if they ever get together. The one who is more suitable for her is Hyun Woo Hyung (which is Ji Tae) who can give happiness to Eul. Eul then says, while seeing her brother leaving, that Hyun Woo has rejected her and she is now so embarrassed.

At Ji Tae’s home, we find him washing up and being quite giddy because he’s considered Eul’s “Hubby” of sorts. Just then his father calls him out Ji Tae goes home quite giddy, feeling warm that he’s considered Eul’s “hubby” of sorts. 

His father then calls him out for a moment, which kills his mood. But it turns out the dad just wants a little friendly competition. If Choi Hyun Joon can knock off the two black Go stones from the board with his white one, he won’t have to give Ji Tae his prized autographed baseball. He aims, he shoots… he misses! It’s actually really sweet to watch Hyun Joon whine and refuse to give his son the baseball. It makes him a lovable father, when all I really want to do is hate him.

Haru returns home, tired from leaving early in the morning to prepare gifts for JY’s concert, and she begs her father to go to the concert with her. It would do wonders for his image! But Ji Tae snaps at her, telling her to study or do something more worthwhile than fawn over a celebrity. Haru and Hyun Joon are actually taken aback by Ji Tae’s harshness, even though Haru really needs to listen to those words. I mean, that girl just lives for Joon Young. Haru runs off, thinking her brother is acting weird all of a sudden. Hyun Joon actually finds himself liking JY more; this celebrity managed to make Ji Tae get angry, and Ji Tae never gets angry. The father is actually relieved his son has some emotions.

JY visits his mother outside her building to give her tickets to his concert. It’s the last time she could ever see him on stage. Young Ok shortly replies that she’s glad to hear of it, but rips his tickets to shreds. She really doesn’t approve of him being a celebrity, no matter what he says. She hates that he chose a different career path without talking to her about it. She hates that he’s so rich now, when he swore to be a prosecutor and protect people who were downtrodden and poor like they were. She really won’t see his concert, even if he dies. Way harsh, mom. JY then says what a bold woman his mom is who can even make him cries.

Eul heads over to the concert stadium with her camera and takes note of all his international fans that have come to watch him. She’s quite amazed at his appeal and smiles almost proudly at how well he’s done for himself. One person isn’t too happy though, and that’s Haru. And it’s all because her father won’t show up to the concert with her. Is she ten, or what? Suddenly a man wrapped up in a coat and scarf sits down next to Haru – it’s Hyun Joon! He kept his promise and even wore a sweater with JY’s face on it! What a great dad. He even humors her and Jung Ja with a photo op, but then as soon as the concert really gets going, he makes his exit. He has done enough of his job supporting his daughter.

It also turns out that Hyun Joon does remember JY as the bright potential law student. He just doesn’t act like he knows the kid very well. Hyun Joon good-naturedly though salutes JY’s banner for being successful in a different career path. 

One person isn’t too pleased that he went to the concert though. (There’s always someone displeased!) And that is surprisingly his wife Eun Soo. When she learns that Hyun Joon went to JY’s concert (even though it was for Haru), she swipes a vase off the coffee table.

I guess… she knows about the secret birth of JY? Or else why she finds it so upsetting?

Eul is front and center by the stage, filming the entire concert for the documentary. JY sings a love song and looks right at her, so she can’t help but feel like he’s singing to her, about her. She takes a break for a sip of water to slow her fluttering heart, and when she resumes her duties JY visibly smiles onstage. Aw.

Young Ok is still working at the restaurant, refusing to go to the concert. But Jung Sik comes up to her and hands her the money that GY owed. He had come up with enough money to pay her back some time ago, but when he told GY to pay JY back, his stupid son decided to spend it all instead. So Jung Sik took a bit longer this time, getting his friend to pay him back money too and getting his house’s safety deposit back.

He wants the slate clean so that Young Ok will stop blaming his family for JY’s career path. But he also reminds her the order of events: Joon Young quit school first because of something. GY caused some trouble after that. Then JY decided to become a celebrity and paid back that debt for GY. So really, Young Ok can’t blame anyone else for JY’s choice in leaving law school.

After the first song, Eul joins JY and his entourage backstage as he gets ready for his next performance. She asks him a few questions about how he feels regarding his last concert, and if he has anything to say to his fans. JY doesn’t. All he wants to know is if the guy who picked up the phone last night was her boyfriend. He’s clearly being very belligerent on camera, so No Eul finally answers that Ji Tae is not her boyfriend because JY won’t answer any other question. That makes JY really happy.

He sings his second song, and the screen behind him reads the following: “The person I love is here today. That’s why I’m trying to muster my courage to tell you today.” Haru freaks out, thinking that it’s her. Ji Tae stands with the audience, having a good view of the stage and Eul filming JY. He can’t help himself but show up to see what could happen between JY and Eul.

Finally in the middle of the song, JY picks up a huge white teddy bear and gets off stage. He goes right up Eul, pulls off the camera from her hands, and takes her up onstage. The platform rises up, and he sings to her, giving her the bear. 

It reminds her of the day he showed up in front of her school and gave her that same bear in front of everyone.

The audience is in shock, for how could be in love with someone not so glamorous? Haru is obviously angry, and what’s worse is an article comes out that identifies Eul and has all of her personal information online already. Plus there’s a picture with the article from JY and Eul’s high school days.

Eul never accepts the bear. In fact, she rejects him in front of everyone, which makes her the target of other concert goers’ ire. She tries to pretend that it was all for show, and he was kidding anyways, but not a single girl is happy with her. 

Meanwhile JY is kinda depressed in his dressing room because his grand gesture failed. When he hears about the article on Eul, and how so many commenters are saying bad things about her, he does something new: he wants screenshots of all the comments and to have all those slanderers reported to the police. After avoiding doing that for so long because of his mother, he doesn’t care anymore. Mean comments about himself are one thing, but mean comments about Eul are unacceptable.

Eul is greeted outside of the bathroom by a reporter, who wants a scoop on her relationship with Joon Young. The reporter also breaks the news to Eul about the article on her, much to her chagrin. Thankfully Ji Tae arrives to save the day, dressed completely in black. He blocks the camera, saying that the reporters don’t have a right to bother Eul like this, and then grabs her hand to lead her away.

Eul is quite thankful, and possibly impressed by Ji Tae’s less-shabby appearance. But it’s short-lived. When they reach the outside of the stadium, JY is standing out there, completely covered up so no one can recognize him. JY smiles and tries to grab her hand; he doesn’t care if Ji Tae is her “husband,” because he knows it’s not for real and he wants Eul for himself. But Ji Tae warns him that the reporter and her cameraman are still behind them, filming. Does he really want to do this right now?

JY doesn’t care. Everyone knows him already, so it doesn’t matter what he does. But Ji Tae’s secrets can be dug up real quick if anyone catches him on camera.  Just then a swarm of reporters and fans surround them, taking pictures frantically. It’s the moment! The moment between the first and second male leads! Who will win!?

And Ji Tae slowly lets go of Eul’s hand, and shields his face with the brim of his cap. He really can’t let anyone know who he is, for if his identity gets out, Eul will also view him as a liar. So JY takes the opportunity to grab Eul’s hand and lead her away from the throng.

Personal thoughts:

I’m really impressed that for a slow moving episode, we get such nice character and relationship development. We only progress about a day in the show, but we see the relationship development on how Jik really loves Eul, his sister. How Ji Tae really treasures his relationship with Eul. How childish Haru is for liking JY all the way till he is the most important person in her life. I do wonder what will happen to her after knowing that JY is actually her half-brother. 

We also see why and how harsh JY's Mom is for hating her son after being treated not like a mother. Although she may be too harsh on him, but she gets a point. As a parent, of course she needs to know the reason why her son quits law school so sudden but JY never tells her and decided to quit by himself. It's true that he says the reason, that if a person like him becomes a prosecutor, the poor and in need of people will not be able to live in this world, but that reason itself doesn't make his mom to understand the truth behind his thought exactly. But, it's way too harsh mom, you are hurting your own son and my JY!!

For Ji Tae, I know he is a good man for protecting Eul, but when things are hard like that, I guess it's really a hard decision too for him to pursue Eul. But I wish he could be stronger enough to protect her, rather than leaving her hands like that. I'm really curious as whether JY knows who Ji Tae is because Ji Tae knows who JY is. 

I'm frustrated with JY and feels his sadness. It's really touching and good to see how JY's character development in this one episode. How he is really being serious with Eul. Although his way may seems like a joke, but he is serious. How he keeps asking Eul for her status, her boyfriend and things like that. Even with a small gesture of his eyes trying to locate Eul in his concert really seems like a big move for me and from a drama perspective that kind of gesture and scene really marks the strong feeling of the male lead. OMG, I'm dying here because Kim Woo Bin is really awesome in acting and also singing. 

For him to ask his mom to attend his last concert and that might be his mom last chance to see his concert, that kind of talk somehow feels so heavy for me. Why doesn't he just tell his mom that he is sick and only how many months left to live? OMG, this is gonna be the pain in the ass and I really wanna cry for him. He is also being sarcastic for saying he is gonna die soon, so what he can't do? He states the fact anyway, not just a joke. I bet if Eul and his mom reminds back, they will really regret it. The good thing is that, because of his disease, he starts to pursue his happiness, at least he doesn't even care anymore for anything and really wants to pursue the one he loves, Eul. Although as of now, Eul doesn't know nor have any idea whether JY is only joking with her or being sincere, but I can guess she is going to fall deeply towards him and this is gonna be a tragic melodrama and I just can't bear to see how both of my fave lead to falls down with crying scene. I want them to be happy omg, with the hurt given to JY by his mom, I really wish for his happiness at least for a moment.

So much love and cheering deep down from my heart for this drama, very good plot, although melodrama seems like a very usual one like we used to see, but every story line is different and the thing you have to see is not how it ends but how it goes. Good storyline, good episodes. Only by one more episodes, we get to know much more than we have imagined. Much development to the character and I'm really rooting for Uncontrollably Fond to win against W. Though I haven't watched episode 1 of W haha but seeing how the story line for episode 5, I can confidently say that they deserves a good rating for this episodes. Good drama is always determined from the first up to the sixth episode and I'm sure this is gonna be a hit, at least for Suzy and Kim Woo Bin's career path.

OMG Uncontrollably Fond still wins! Yeay for UF and I'm cheering much and much. If I can watch live, I will watch it live because it will help the ratings, but then I couldn't understand Korean without subs.
