Park Hyung Sik To Star in Upcoming SBS Romance Drama

After finishing popular romantic comedy drama, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, it was reported earlier that Park Hyung Sik had been cast in an upcoming SBS romance drama “Temperature of Love” (tentative title).

On June 28, the actor’s agency, United Artist Agency (UAA), released an official statement and said, “It is not true that Park Hyung Sik has been cast in ‘Temperature of Love.’ He hasn’t even received a synopsis so he’s not even considering the role currently.”

Previously, it was reported that actress Seo Hyun Jin was considering the female lead role in the drama and her agency confirmed today that the actress was still looking over the offer. “Temperature of Love” is set to air after “Manipulation” (tentative title), which is the drama that is slated to air after SBS’s currently airing drama “My Sassy Girl.”

Aww, so sad, I was hoping that he would do any drama soon after Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. But well, maybe he wants to rest a bit and looks for another potential drama, rather than giving a try to all drama. In any case, we would love to see him in another romantic drama, uri Min Min :)

Go Lala Go II 杜拉拉追婚记 - Ariel Lin, Vic Zhou & BoLin Chen Review

Go Lala Go II 杜拉拉追婚记 is a 2015 Taiwanese romantic comedy-drama film directed by Andrew Chien and starring Ariel Lin, Vic Zhou and Chen Bolin. The film is based on a novel and is a sequel to the 2010 film Go Lala Go!. It was released on December 4, 2015. I almost forget about the existence of this film, till finally I found the OST on youtube by Janice Yan which I really like the song, and decided to give it a try for this film. Since In Time With You reign, I always love Ariel Lin as the female lead in all Taiwainese Dramas. She's like my role model in every aspect of her character life, such as Chen You Qing in In Time With You (我可能不會愛你) and also in this film as Du Lala. She's such a strong willed woman who is very charming in her own way, maybe I could say, she has that kind of elegant aura which suit her best as the most charming female lead.

Last Time, Ha Ji Won also tried to do a remake of In Time With You as Chen You Qing in The Time We Were Not In Love. however, I would say, I still like how Ariel Lin portray her character very well, which makes a deep impression on me. Thus, I believe, she would pull her character really well in this drama.

In this film, Du Lala (played by Ariel Lin) starts a new career in a new position after company restructures. She is 33 years old and has been dating Wang Wei (played by Vic Zhou) for 6 years, waiting for marriage proposal from him - which she never hears at all. Wang Wei was a Director in the Company before he decided to quit his job and pursue the job he wants, as a photographer. When Lala asked him about marriage, Wang Wei said that he is not ready for marriage yet, which upset Lala so much, thinking that he is not ready for marriage because the woman is Lala, not because of anything else. However, Wang Wei has such inferiority complex against Lala. He thought he has to success first before he proposed to Lala. Thus, they both put a stop on their relationship for a while, to calm down and think more thoroughly.

However, one day, Lala encounters a handsome and successful client, Chen Feng (played by Chen Bolin), who proposed to Lala even though they just know each other through job only for a month. She then broke up with Wang Wei. When Chen Feng asked about marriage right in front of her, Lala is in a dilemma between love and career.

This is really a good topic to go through. Many woman of course would want to get married in her young age - ideally between 25-29 years old. In our society. getting married late would be a huge pressures, specially for the woman. I believe what Lala has gone through is quite the same with us all. When her mom called her, asking about whether she will get married to Wang Wei really stressed her out. Of course, she is being chased by time - to get married and start a family; but Wang Wei doesn't even has that idea at all.

I understand why Lala was so upset. She even said that being on top on her career is not her objectives - what she wants is to get married and make her own family. That's when I reliazed, even when she has boyfriend who is 6 years together with her, there is no end with the question, "When?" - "When do you have boyfriend?", "When are you two getting married?", "When are you guys having the first baby?", "When is the second baby?" that all question is a never ending one.

But when Lala's career leveled up, she has her client attention, even Chen Feng also proposed to her, although they only know each other for a month, Chen Feng is sure that he wants Lala to be his wife. As Lala has said, "Maybe you could meet your Mr.Right after a break up."  she is truly in dilemma, which one she has to choose? Getting married fast as what she wants from the start, her career, or love which is blind and has no power?

Lala ended up choosing love. She rejected Chen Feng's proposal, saying she woould regret it one day. But she has to stay true to  who she is, whom she truly loves and what she truly wants. In the end, she said that even though she has her career, but she is not happy - she is not truly happy. What makes her happy is being together with the one who stole her heart, even though she has no career at all. She is just happy with being together, travelling the world, having a cup of tea at such cafe and enjoy the night sky at the beach.

When it comes to such conclusion, it makes me wonder that maybe we should find that one person who would make you feel complete. Not because we want to fulfill our own objective then we just do anything without considering what we really want and what our heart has to say.

"When you truly meet you true love, there is no need for any preparation, because you do and just want to be happy with that person."

JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong And UEE Confirmed As Leads In Upcoming Time Slip Drama - Manhole

After UEE rejected offer to star in weekend family drama with Park Si Hoo, On June 23, it was confirmed that JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong and UEE have both been cast as leads in KBS’s upcoming time-slip drama called “Manhole” (tentative title).

KBS’s “Manhole” is a comedy drama about a man who goes back in time to stop a marriage from happening in the present. Kim Jaejoong will be playing the lead male role of Bong Pil, who is a character that has been studying for the civil servant exam for three years and is the neighborhood’s token unemployed person. He’s an immature character who doesn’t feel the need to grow up and depends heavily on his father, who is a postmaster.

UEE will be taking on the lead female character of Kang Su Jin, a character that has built a metaphorical wall between herself and Bong Pil for 18 years; however, as her marriage date draws closer, her feelings waver as she begins to see Bong Pil’s love for her in a different light.

“Manhole” is set to begin airing after “Queen for 7 Days” comes to an end.

Gonna be so excited to see this two! They are such a good-looking couple on set then :)

Park Bo Gum Rumors To Be Married To Jang Na Ra

A year ago, Actor Park Bo Gum has been swept up in dating rumors with actress Jang Nara, but the actor personally denied these rumors in a recent interview.

Park Bo Gum stated, “I noticed that dating rumors with Jang Nara were spreading. It made it look like I was dating her. I felt awkward having to call her after that. I was surprised since it’s such a nonsensical rumor.”

He continued, “It felt new since this is my first scandal, but I also felt sorry towards Nara noona. Perhaps it started when we filmed ‘I Remember You‘ together.”

When asked how he feels having to deal with these rumors, he answered, “It’s an inevitable thing since I am a public figure. I’m actually trying to be thankful for the attention. I will be more careful and cautious in the future.”

Over a year after first denying dating reports, rumors have linked Park Bo Gum and Jang Nara once again.

A recent rumor spread that the actors were spotted together on Cheongdam Wedding Street and that they are preparing for a wedding. On June 23, Park Bo Gum and Jang Nara’s agencies responded, “It does not make any sense. We don’t know why these kinds of rumors are being spread without even evidence,” and emphasized, “The reports are false.”

Park Bo Gum and Jang Nara both starred in KBS drama “I Remember You” in 2015. Rumors were first spread in early 2016 and heightened when Park Bo Gum wore a ring to a fan sign for “Reply 1988.” Back then, Park Bo Gum revealed in an interview, “It was surprising seeing dating rumors with Nara” and shared that they are good friends.

Meanwhile, Park Bo Gum is taking a break and working on selecting his next project, while Jang Nara was last reported to be filming for drama “Housewife Detective” until production was paused in April.

It was so absurd, I just can't believe this rumor. But seriously, rumor is there when there is something. So, maybe that's true? But I just can't believe this. There is a huge age gap between these two!!!

What Would Suzy Does If She Can Predict The Future?

Suzy effortlessly showed off a natural side through her latest pictorial with High Cut magazine. During her interview, she talked about her character Hong Joo in the upcoming drama “While You Were Asleep” (tentative title).

The actress expressed, “I was No Eul last year because of ‘Uncontrollably Fond,’ but I’m completely immersed in Hong Joo these days. Since Hong Joo’s more feminine than No Eul, I’ve actually become more feminine in real life.”

In the drama, Hong Joo has dreams that predict the future. When asked whether she would’ve wanted to change any parts of her past if she had this psychic ability back then, Suzy answered, “I’m not happy with all the choices I’ve made until now. I do want to go back and live out those regretful moments, but at the same time, I think it’ll be tiring. I usually tell myself not to dwell on the decisions I make regardless of the outcome.”

She then added, “If I had the ability to predict the future, I would want to know what the viewership ratings will be for ‘While You Were Asleep.’ I’m most curious as to whether the drama will do well.”

I am anticipating While You Were Asleep so much! Hopefully she had done even better :)

Quarter Life: 25 years old

"OMG, you are still 25 years old? I feel so old. You should just go around, make some more friends, enjoy life and things would happen eventually."

There were so many people I meet on everyday basis, but this particular person could make such comment in a very special and inspiring way. Rather than talking about I should find my other half, this person share to me what I should be doing in my quarter life instead.

My first impression, he is a very naggy type of person, a little bit bossy but still managable. I never know that in just a brief moment, he would just turn out in completely different person. He grabbed me for a round of drinks, then told me that I still have a duty - must finish before I could go home. In my conscious mind, the most urgent thing to do is to quickly finish my glass and leave that place. But that's only just a start.

Things started to change after you took a sip, with nice musics as the background, your body started to heat up. More topics to talk about obviously, from how we both felt happy since the main leads finally got married after going through ups and down. I thought it was just a random topic to make the situation a bit less awkward, but this is the start of everything. He then started to talk about himself, trying to make a good impression (of course in my opinion), that he is different from any other people - he finished his study abroad and came back to help on the family business, not because he is forced but he truly likes the job; he broke up with his nine years ex-girlfriend - feeling depressed for a year - went on so many dates but ended up with totally nothing till one day when he decided not looking for anyone; then he found the one.

If it is meant to be, it will go in such an easy way. Everything just flows smoothly without any force, maybe we could call it by fate, a destiny (okay, I am not a romanticist type). What I feel amazed about is when he said, he actually knew this girl (which is his wife now) long time ago and always finds she's so attractive yet he thinks that she is out of his league. Well, because the girl is so beautiful - and usually a beautiful girl would probably has different taste. What a very honest opinion, right? This time, he was introduced again and things fell eventually. They got married 6 months ago and he is living a happy marriage life. He even said that, before with his ex-gf, he just felt contented about himself, but there is totally no push to be better. If you met the right person, you would want to be a better version of yourself and that's what you should look for. After those conversation, everyone around us was like staring and asking him what we're doing - well, just sharing life story, isn't it?

I knew maybe some people would say the way is kinda wrong, but I wouldn't mind having somebody shared his/her life. We could learn some new experience from them and what I love most is the positive energy that this person has given me. Maybe, maybe it's been too long since I had a nice conversation with someone - or those butterflies has disappeared for too long (okay, joke). Or maybe because this kind of socialization is kinda exciting, sometimes. My life has been so flat these days.

Don't judge me, I know and I had it right in my mind, that I had to stop here - it's just that this person is kinda admirable in his charming way. These days, everyone around me, always talk about something that I don't wanna hear. It was like everyone doesn't have any business to do and always been a busy body in my life - specially love life. Whatever case, it's been a really long time since I feel this motivated to run through my life with faith and hopes.

25 years old - you are still so young to just think about relationship. You still have a LOT to think about, your career, what you wanna do in life, explore the world, travel more often, learn new skills, socialize with so new people, make your connection broader, keep your chin up and smile even though life is not always go with the way you want, and most importantly never settle for something less than your best.

In any case, thank you for reminding me a good life lesson and see you when I see you some other time!

Jo Jung Suk To Star in New Romantic Fantasy Drama

Actor Jo Jung Suk may be starring in KBS’s upcoming drama “Two Cops” (literal title).

On June 14, his agency Culture Depot confirmed the news that he is considering the role of a homicide detective who has a sense of justice but also has the soul of a sleazy swindler.

“Two Cops” has been written by the winner of a KBS screenwriting competition last year. It is a fantasy romantic drama that tells the love story between a detective and a cheeky female reporter.

Would you like to see Jo Jung Suk in this drama?

Fight My Way First Impression

Fight My Way follows the story about young adults with third-rate specs just struggling to survive, and the blossoming romance between two immature friends Go Dong Man (played by Park Seo Joon) and Choi Ae Ra (played by Kim Ji Won) whose childish dynamic hasn’t changed despite reaching adulthood.

I found this drama is quite appealing with the familiar storyline with our daily life. Park Seo Joon is the best version for being Go Dong Man and I would never imagine anyone else takes on the role. Meanwhile, I didn't dare to imagine Kim Ji Won would be playing as female lead role, as she always takes on antagonize role during The Heirs & To The Beautiful You. However, her image totally changed when she takes on the role of Yoon Myung Joo who happened to fall in love deeply with a soldier. Just in one night, she is able to be a protagonist and I just love her transformation. In this drama, she is EPIC. Rather than being a more mellow type, she takes on a cheerful female lead role and she doesn't afraid to look ugly.

Regarding the storyline, I love how the writer put the background story and the story flows in a good direction up to now. We should admit that at least we have been friends with a guy and that's maybe one of our best friend, maybe from childhood, high school or maybe university. Maybe one of you had been developing such feelings, but it's you who doesn't recognize it. And this drama follows that kind of storyline, thus there is no wonder, so many people caught up in this drama, including me.

I would do the recap soon and would explore each character more. Stay tuned!

Upcoming Drama: "Black" Starring Song Seung Hoon & Go Ara

Song Seung Hoon and Go Ara are in talks for an upcoming OCN drama called “Black.”

On June 8, both of their agencies stated that the two actors are currently looking over the roles.

“Black” is about a grim reaper who gets erased from the memories of the world for breaking the rules and falling in love with a woman after borrowing a human’s body. It is set to air after the upcoming drama “Save Me.”

I am not excited that much to see Go Ara starring in this drama. Well, she is so beautiful but I am quite disappointed with her acting in Hwarang:The Warriors last time with Park Seo Joon. Hopefully, she can pull up her character well in this drama!

While You Were Asleep Wrapped Up Filming

Suzy and Lee Jong Suk’s upcoming SBS pre-produced drama “While You Were Asleep” (tentative title) is wrapping up filming and preparing to air in September.

According to a source from the drama industry, the drama will air after “Into the New World” (tentative title), the follow up to “Suspicious Partner.” Because both of the previous dramas are 20-episode projects, “While You Were Asleep” will premiere late-September. On the other hand, “While You Were Asleep” will be a 16-episode project.

The source added, “We are currently in the last stages of filming. We encountered some delays after beginning to film in the beginning of the year, but we are planning on wrapping everything up by the middle of this month.”

To clarify any possible confusion, the source explained that “Temperature of Love” (tentative title), the drama that was previously reported to be the follow up to “Into the New World,” was moved to the Monday-Tuesday slot.

“While You Were Asleep” tells the story of a woman (Suzy) who can foresee adverse events through dreams and a prosecutor (Lee Jong Suk) who does everything he can to prevent those events from happening. It was written by Park Hye Ryun, the screenwriter of “Dream High,” “I Hear Your Voice,” “Pinocchio,” and more. As both actors have experience working with the screenwriter, many are looking forward to the synergy they will be creating this time around as well.

Lee Jong Suk’s character Jung Jae Chan is an emotionless and unsociable prosecutor. He always placed last in class during his middle school days, but he works hard to live up to his father’s expectations.

Suzy will take on the role of Nam Hong Joo, a jobless homebody who rarely leaves her house. Ever since she was little, events from her dreams happened in real life, making her always feel anxious. She considers it best to avoid the adverse events she foresaw in her dreams because she believes she can’t change them.

Will you be watching this drama?

Family Weekend Drama: Father Is Strange

After the end of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, it is kinda hard to find a new drama to fix my schedule. Then I just randomly pick a new drama based on the title, Father Is Strange, which turns out to be a good pick for a long weekend drama. Father is Strange tells a story of a family that lives on the outskirts of Seoul. Byun Han Soo (played by Kim Yeong Cheol) is the father and his wife, Na Young Sil (played by Kim Hae Sook) is a dedicated, responsible mother to his three daughters and one son including Hye Young (played by Lee Yoo Ri), Mi Young (played by Jung So Min), Ra Young (played by Ryu Hwa Young) and Joon Young (played by Min Jin Woong).

Suddenly one day, Ahn Joong Hee (played by Lee Joon) shows up at the household, and declares that he is the son of the family. Joong Hee is an actor who used to be a member of an idol group. He begins to live with them…

Hye Young, the first daughter is a lawyer in one of the best law firm in Seoul. She is very confident with herself and holds tight what she thinks is right, including her principle of not getting married before you are sure with your life partner. This causes a whole mess when she dates her ex-boyfriend, a Senior during her University life, and started to live together before marriage. Meanwhile, both family also holds grudge against each other which make it more difficult to accept each others as in-laws. Well, I guess it will turn out well in the end though ~

The most difficult problem is Ahn Joong Hee, the idol turned actor who happened to be Byun Han Soo's illegitimate son who insisted on living together with the family. Actually, Joong Hee is not Byun Han Soo's son, instead he is someone else son, a friend of Byun Han Soo. The one whose name Byun Han Soo is already dead many years ago, and the one living with the name as Byun Han Soo is actually someone else. This happened because of the mistake on identifying each other during the bomb incident. I wonder what will happen when Ahn Joong Hee finally found out that his biological father has already dead and the one he thought is his father is actually someone else, who had no blood connection with him at all. But this might become a good chance and opportunity as he grows to love his own manager, Byun Mi Young (played by Jung So Min).

Byun Mi Young is an intern in an entertainment company and she was assigned to be Ahn Joong Hee's manager. She is a former judo athlete and is quite a tomboyish type. However, she is very kind and has a very soft side of her. In her childhood memories, she was bullied by her classmate who later turns out to be her sister-in-law, which eventually she forgave her. Because of her soft and understanding side, Ahn Joong Hee falls for her. Awww....

I know this drama would eventually work all things together for the family. I just love to watch each of their struggles towards life which reminds us always that life may not always go as the way we want, but we should embrace it and move forward for the better future. Because, after a rain, there is always a sun again :)

So, if you have time, spare some time to watch this! It's a good weekend drama with my most favorite couple is Lee Joon and Jung So Min. Another one is the youngest, Ryu Hwa Young and newcomers, Ahn Hyo Seop (soo handsome!!!). I have never thought that Ryu Hwa Young has an excellent skills to be an actress, Her acting was very natural and I love it all about her and Ahn Hyo Seop. Lee Joon also shows an amazing acting skills. He has improved a lot, though I don't quite like him when he is dancing here and there when he was an idol.

One of the most annoying thing ever is the casting of Ryu Soo Young. Is it because there is no one who wants the character or what? He looks old already and I really hope he was replaced by someone else, as his acting is also kinda boring, but well, I might still okay since Lee Yoo Ri's acting is quite 'lebay' also.

Circle Korean Drama 2017 First Impression

Circle tells a story of two worlds connected, which feels like W: Two World starring Han Hyo Joo and Lee Jong Suk. But this Circle tells a more different storyline, which up till now, I am also curious as how the story will unfold.

The drama is divided into two parts. The first is set in the present, The Beta Project (2017); which is about twin brothers who think they saw an alien in their childhood. The younger brother, Kim Woo Jin's (played by Yeo Jin Goo) university suddenly has an array of suicide cases. A student who looks like the alien (played by Gong Seung Yoon) but claims she's not and Woo Jin thinks that the suicides are actually murders. They work together to stop the organization behind it. The second setting is in the future, A Brave New World (2037), the story is about an alien invasion in 2017 and the subsequent new Earth in 2037; which is separated into the “Smart Earth” where people’s emotions are controlled and no crimes or illness exist, and the “General Earth” where people still suffer from rampant plague and lawlessness.

In 2037, there is a detective which name is Kim Joon Hyuk which I assumed, he is the future Kim Woo Jin or maybe one of the twins. Joon Hyuk insists on going to Smart Earth to find out the mystery of alien invasion in 2017 and dig the secret between the missing twins case. Which I guess, he is trying to find out what has happened actually in the past.

In my opinion, Circle began with a literal bang this week, and after months of trying to find a fix for my drama slump, I’m almost hyperventilating at how good it is so far. I was nervous because I didn’t know whether the two timelines would mesh, or whether the whole dystopian future would be executed well. But, almost everything, from the fast pacing to the rich background stories to the high-quality acting, is on point. So without further ado, I give you Circle.

Wo zhi dao shen me shi hou hui tou
I know when to turn back
不打扰你的自由
Bu da rao ni de zi you
 and not disturb your freedom

I just randomly find this old song, which stir my heart a little bit.
I thought I am not as disappointed as I should have been, but after hearing this song, things start to change differently. I know when to turn back, but please do not confuse me like the last time. Because best friend is just only best friend.
