It is a super amazing episode so far. Kudos to our main leads and I never expect to see a soft, cheerful side of Kim Woo Bin and never imagine that he suits a melodrama genre for a male lead ^^ OMG that's super duper bonus for me! Yeay!
Episode 8 starts with JY's confession towards Eul, with his nervous look, he said, "I love you, Eul ah~" and Eul starts to get swayed, "Stop it, Shin Joon Young-ssi. The entire nation knows that you are a good actor. So stop it already..." (This is the best response I ever get for that kind of confession. Suzy really rocks it OMG. Neither she loves it, instead she tries to reject the fact that JY is sincere towards her. Of course! If it was me, I would do the same since they are living in different world.)
But JY keeps saying with his tearful eyes, "I love you, Eul." which obviously makes Eul gets swayed even more that she reminds herself for what her brother, Jik has said to her to not falling in love with JY because they basically live in different world now. Jik also told her not to get confused on every little thing JY does, not to get shaken and hurt by JY.
Then she states that she's the crazy one there for not listening to Jik and there it is! JY kisses her right away. After the kiss, JY states to her that never even once he has ever use or toy with Eul. He also tells her to look at him only and listen to him only and finally he says again that he loves her. Eul steps away and walks out while JY tries to stop her for going.
Eul walks away and comes out from JY's house while she is still shocked and can't believe what just happened. She even stops for a while on her way to go back home. Eul seems so blank and doesn't know what to do. (I know right, that must be hard for you to believe it. JY who is always mean to her actually likes her so much. She couldn't even believe it. That doesn't make sense in every way.)
Meanwhile, Ji Tae follows Eul on her way towards home. The background song after the kiss really suits the mood. I really really like it so much. On the other hand, JY still stands outside with Pororo.
The next day, Yoo Na appears on talk show to act like she has been dating JY for one year and she apologized for lying to the public and ensure that JY has nothing to do with Noh PD (Eul) because she is only a toy to distract the public's attention. After the talk show, JY's Director seems to be happy that the problem is solved and he makes fans to be satisfied with the news. That's because he claims a Hallyu star like JY should be with someone in the same class and not with someone who is from a different world than him. GY says that the Director should not come up with that lie because it's Eul whom JY likes. Then the Director says it's a mutual benefit to come out with this scenario because Yoo Na gets 4 advertisement offers after coming out with the story. Meanwhile, it is also good for Eul because she won't be a gold digger anymore and it turns out to be a good story rather than being killed by JY's fans. Then they just realized that it's weird that JY isn't being fuzzed with the rumors and never even once called Director to confirm about that story. On the other hand, Na Ri who just watched the show confirms with Eul whether it is true that JY makes her as a tool for distraction of his scandal. Without much thinking, Eul says she knows right from the start and Na Ri starts whining on her for being that petty which makes her and Eul's brother to worry her so much.
It turns out that JY is at Jik's school, he is there to treat everyone in school burger. He also claims to be Jik's brother. Jik is surprised to see JY is there and they both meet at the rooftop. JY says it's been a really long time for him not to see Jik and Jik has grown up a lot. Jik calculates how much JY has spent to buy burger for the whole school and promised him to pay him back in installment money every month once he gets money.
JY ignores his request instead he asks Jik to help him because he knows that Eul really listens to Jik the most.
JY then confesses to Jik that he really like his sister, He really likes Eul till he wants to go crazy. He cannot eat, cannot sleep or breathe and is barely living.
JY asks for his favor to tell his sister not to run away from him, to just only look at Shin Joon Young, to just trust him. (OMG, he is super duper sincere about this! I almost cry when he even asks Jik to help with his happiness) Jik doesn't give him any chance and just walk away after deciding to just wire the money to his agency instead because JY doesn't want to give him the bank account no.
Eul stays at home, thinking again and again and still cannot believe for what JY has said to her yesterday that he loves her and never once he ever toy with her.
Ji Tae is at the office and Secretary Kang appears to report to him that he has picked up the car which Ji Tae left in front of JY's house. Secretary Kang then asks him whether he can advise him as his friend for just one minute. Then he tells Ji Tae to stop with everything he has been doing because he went too far already. He asks Ji Tae to apologize to Jung Eun and give up on Noh Eul PD. He insists Ji Tae to just do as what he says because if Eul finds out who he is, and if Jung Eun finds who Eul is, and if Ji Tae's parent finds out who Eul is....then that's gonna be a disaster.
After visiting Jik's school, JY then goes to Eul's home. Just before he gets down from the car, he sees Ji Tae is on the way to Eul's home. Before Ji Tae rings the bell, JY is there to ring the bell first.
Eul opens the door, but seeing JY is there, she closes the door very fast.
JY is prepared for that and stops Eul from closing the door.
The next scene is both Ji Tae and JY are with Eul. Ji Tae brings porridge for Eul to eat and asks Eul to open her mouth so that she can eat at least because she looks like a dying person.
JY looks down to Ji Tae that Eul's hand are fine and there is no need for him to feed her like that.
When she has no other choice than eating the porridge which Ji Tae brought, JY comes to her face instead and eats the porridge. JY then says the tasts is horrible and suggests Eul not to eat it because it will ruin her appetite. Eul seems so frustrated and says that the place is not hers and asks them to just leave. She says that can prepare her own meal and then leaves them alone in the house.
JY finishes the whole porridge while complaining the taste is really disgusting. JY then states it is so weird for an Ahjussi like him who already rejected Eul but still hangs around her. He then concludes that Ji Tae doesn't want her but can't give her away.
Ji Tae then confronts him whether Kim Yoo Na knows that JY is at Eul's place. JY laughs like the question is too funny because he doesn't even have Yoo Na's number. JY then clarifies what Ji Tae has said to him yesterday regarding he has no right to love Eul. There is nothing to be called permission when you love someone, because you can love whoever you want. Ji Tae then smiles and says he thanks JY for clarifying the things which bother him a lot. Ji Tae concludes that when you love someone, you just do without any reasons or permissions.
JY smiles and suddenly he asks Ji Tae, "Who are you?" and points out that Ji Tae is wearing a luxurious watch meanwhile covers up his identity with a cheap clothes and jacket. JY asks him whether he is a robber or thief but Ji Tae then says for what reasons JY cares about who he is. Ji Tae then says that both of them is just two undeserving men who happen to like the same woman and that's the unfortunate tragedy. Ji Tae's phone ring and he receives the news that his Mom collapses and is at the hospital right now and he then rushes to the hospital.
JY is been trying to find where Eul goes in every restaurant around the neighborhood and he finally finds her. Eul notices JY is outside the restaurant and JY hints to her to just finish her food and come out because he will wait outside for her. Because of that, Eul is determined to avoid JY by ordering more rice.
She tries to finish the third bowl by herself while waiting for JY to disappear. When she starts feeling sick by eating too much, she notices JY is not outside anymore.
Suddenly JY appears and grabs her hand. He then starts to massage her hands, stating that he knows she has upset stomach because of him and he will bring her to someone who is very good at healing upset stomach. He then grabs Eul's hand and pay for the bill.
Eul is forced to walk outside the restaurant and asks JY to let her go. She then angrily asks JY whether she is easy for him? JY says No. She asks again whether she is a pushover? JY answers No again. Then Eul asks then why did JY do something like that to her. JY asks what he has done to her? It's just he is upset that she is sick and he feel worse that Eul has upset stomach because of him and he just want to help her and make her feel better.
JY then covers his face and says that Kim Yoo Na just helps Eul to shed the tittle of gold digger and if people notices that both of them is fighting outside like that, it's gonna be a problem again and proposes to her to just go quietly while grabbing her hand. Eul refuses and says to avoid people attention, it's better for JY to just ler her hand go and there is no need for him to care whether Eul is sick or not. JY then says it's better for her to say something make sense since he has no plan to let her hands go, or maybe Eul wants to stand there all day long?
In the car, JY asks whether Eul really wants to avoid him that badly and Eul says yes. JY then says that his fan really want to see his face even just for a minute and they would probably kill Eul for saying like that. Eul ignores him and asks him to just drop her at the hospital and get lost.
JY says okay, because he is good at getting lost. He then says, "I'll disappear from your sight right away....without leaving a trace. But just not right now. I'll go after a minimum of three months or a maximum of four months." (OMG. This is so sad! That means he is going to date her and suddenly disappear like a bubble? T___T)
Eul laughs at that because she just can't believe it that JY is making a joke right now. Eul then informs JY that she is going to hold on Hyun Woo Ahjussi and makes a scene till he accepts her. JY then says to her to just do whatever she wants. Eul directly tells him that the one she likes is Hyun Woo, not Joon Young. JY then says he doesn't care who Eul likes, "Ego and jealousy? I have no time for that." (OMG, JY aaaaa why do you have to say things like this so sarcastically? I am feeling the burden with you too!)

JY says to his Mom that Eul has an upset stomach because of him and asks his Mom to prick her thumb. Eul refuses and states that she can just go and buy medicine, she then apologize for intruding and says her goodbye.

JY's Mom never once comments on anything Eul nor JY has said. Instead JY's Uncle says, instead of what's happening on the TV, JY is there and saying he like Eul, the girl with the look of scarred rabbit.
Eul refuses the conclusion, saying it's just what JY thinks and it is not mutual. JY calls Eul's name and his Uncle is shocked to the fact that Eul doesn't like JY instead it's JY who happens to like her so much. JY's Mom then commands the staff to take off the close sign because she can't believe she closes the business just to hear the nonsense from two clowns. Eul then says, "Ahjumma, I am good at standing where I stand. Whatever you son says, I'll do my best to avoid him. You don't have to worry about anything because nothing will happen." and JY seems frustrated with her responses. He won't also let Eul run away like what his Mom ever did. Eul is outside with JY's Uncle and his Uncle tells Eul about the relationship between JY and his Mom, saying JY has never eaten anything his Mom cooks and tells her that's because JY gives up on being a prosecutor and asks her to just hear the rest directly from JY.
After driving Eul home, JY stops in front of her house and tells her about the story of his childhood with his Mom, stating that his Mom is a single mother and how poor they are till his Mom works at the bar, bribed the teacher when he is in high school, even stole something just because they barely have rice and that time, JY wants tangsuyu. Eul listens to him quietly and JY then asks her whether she still thinks that their world is different, because he comes from the same world like Eul. Eul then gets down from the car after saying thank you to JY for making her stomach feels better and enters the house.
At night, Eul asks Ji Tae to come out to the restaurant they used to go to grab noodles together. Eul is planning to cling on him once again. But Ji Tae ends up not coming after receiving a phone call from his father, telling how thankful he is towards Ji Tae and says to him that he is going to treat his son much much better than now. Ji Tae then realized he has to give up on Eul, as being advised by Secretary Kang and just within a month, he will get married to Jung Eun and thus, there is no escape.
Knowing there is no hope since Hyun Woo Ahjussi (Ji Tae's fake name) is not coming, Eul leaves the restaurant while thinking don't blame her on anything anymore and this is because of Ji Tae. JY who is asleep receives a call and it's from Eul. Eul says something on phone which startled JY. JY then hurriedly rush over to Eul.
On the flashback, Eul seems to say something and JY says "What? Don't say anything. Talk to me directly, I will go to where you are right now." and seeing Eul sits near the bridge makes JY so happy till his cheerful smiles appears on his face.
When JY comes down from his car, he has a blurry vision and he narrates inside his mind, "You were sorely mistaken. If you thought, I would fall or give up or step aside over something like this...then you are wrong."
He then gets closer to Eul and hugs her deeply while smiling, "Come at me with all you have. I will never despair, be sad, or succumb."
And it ends.... with a beautiful fits theme song for this episode T___T why it feels heavy towards the end?
Personal Thought:
This episode really feels heavy for me. Really makes me cry. I couldn't imagine what would happen to me if I know JY is going to die later on. Maybe I will cry right from the start till the end.
JY is selfish enough actually to don't care who Eul likes and it's understandable, considering how much time left he has and he works really hard to at least earn his happiness at his last moment left. It's gonna be a heartbreaking for Eul to fall in love with JY and finally she will be left alone as JY keeps mentioning that he will disappear within three months in minimum and four months in maximum. That's selfish I think but there is no other choice. I would do the same like what JY did to Eul. It's like what JY has said, when we love someone, we don't need permission to do that.
Meanwhile, I dunno what Eul said in the end to JY because it may seem that she's toying around wiith JY's feeling of she accepts her just because Ji Tae rejects her.
